Come along
Alone in the wood, with a feather on her hood,
She was far from her man, hiding,
Left by her friends, she built up a fence,
And lost her mind, deciding.
How to stop loving a man,
Who used her good will,
Before they begun,
And then after years of selfish lust,
Left her, betrayed her trust.
So she sang to him:
‘Come along, come along, come along come along,
Where the wind wont blow and only dark hearts glow,
You belong, you belong, you belong, you belong,
To the ones you’ve saddened.
Come along, come along, come along come along,
Where the rivers rise and all your love dies,
So you can see, what you’ve done to me.’
She stopped in her tracks with her lover on her back,
And her love for him still standing,
What to do, she had no clue,
But at least he stopped commanding,
So she went to destroy carnivorous joy,
She felt every time, he looked in her line,
And buried him deep, under the ground,
Wounded, without a sound.
And she sung to him:
‘Come along, come along, come along come along,
Where the wind wont blow and only dark hearts glow,
You belong, you belong, you belong, you belong,
To the ones you’ve saddened.
Come along, come along, come along come along,
Where the rivers rise and all your love dies,
So you can see, what you’ve done to me.
Come see me,
Oh yes love you will join me,
At long last touch me, feel me,
For once please, need me, need me.
(Hush darling, sweetness, darling, you’ll feel me, feel me,
Hush darling, sweetness, darling, you’ll join me, join me,
Hush darling, sweetness, darling, you’ll feel me, feel me,
Hush darling, sweetness, darling, you’ll need me need, need me now.)
Come along, come along, come along come along,
Where the wind wont blow and only dark hearts glow,
You belong, you belong, you belong, you belong,
To the ones you’ve saddened.
Come along, come along, come along come along,
Where the rivers rise and all your love dies,
So you can see, what you’ve done to me.’
I come from a classical music background, having spent most of my childhood years performing around as a pianist and
blissfully ignoring the world of pop music. I went on to study piano at Music Academy Zagreb and classical music at Cambridge University, secretly writing pop songs on the side. Two years later I've finally decided to put some of them online and see what happens! Hope you enjoy it!...more
